By the power of Grayskull! I have the powerrrrrrrrrr!
Lord, though indeed the light you have given is mine; I scream, my God, may it never cease to shine.-me
My name is Tymothy…and I’m…a Writer.
Everyone say: Hello Tymothy.
Jokes aside I prefer the “informal” bio to the third-person but…okay.
Yes. Yes I do have something to say. I’d just rather write it.
I am of Spanish, Greek and Mexican heritoj and I am extremely into writing, music, supporting others, and living in love. I am a husband and father of two, and I am a creator through and through. It was what I was meant to do, of this I have no doubt. I am a follower of Christ but not as you may think. I follow the Christ from the bible, not the one on t.v. I say this because above all else, He is my greatest inspiration, source of strength, and an ever present comfort. He guides me in everything I do. He is my example of love, He sets my sights on Hope, and He brings out everything epic within. Writing is…one of His gifts to me, and I intent to continue to use it to it’s fullest and grow as a writer and as a man. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Romans 11:29
I have made some of the most awesome friendships, yes, online friendships can be real, and connections. I can say I love them all. Though we have never met, I love them as the Christ I believe in would. I never imagined any of this. But that’s how God is. He says, I will show you things you could never even imagine. I have come a long way as I’m sure most of you have, and this is my story.
On this blog I felt it apropos to title it one thing and one thing only: Aspire No More. It speaks for itself I hope but what it means is that whoever comes intentionally or un to my blog, I hope something I say, write, rant, or spout will indeed inspire at least one person to reach within and find the true meaning behind what he or she does…and how it’s bigger than they think. You can make more of an impact than you think. I blog here, of course, and am a Featured Author at The New Authors Fellowship where I share my thoughts every Saturday. Of course I’m on The Twitter- @tymothylongoria-and Facebook and the + and wait for it…tumblr.
Again, I am a writer and I love what I do. With that comes respecting and supporting other writers, authors, artists, musicians, moms ans dads-because I know they love what they do.
My magnus opus is called The Stories which you can find more about throughout this blog. In short, The Stories: Book One is my take on the fairy tale mythos. Legends will be reborn. I am working on The Stories: The Bridge, Book Two in the series.
A second series is called Monstrum Asylum. The first book is called The Short Life, Horrible Death, and Brilliant Afterlife of Michael Agnes and I have not been excited to start a project this much since The Stories.
In 2012, Envy, my contribution to an anthology called The Seven Deadly Sins will be published, along with the six other sins. The six authors I have been blessed to work with on this project are immensely talented and we each bring our own voice to the sin tales. Here are the details: 7DSbook.com
I have written a children’s picture book called The Sad Little Robot which began as a valentine for my wife. I had no plans to publish it but with more adventures for Robut in my head, ya never know.
My story When You Died, A Part Of Me Went With You, along with art by Teg Win has been published in the November Issue of Underneath The Juniper Tree as well. This magazine is simply brilliant, showcasing highly talented writers, authors and artists, and I am honored to be counted among them. I am a contributor. I don’t “squee” so, um…yeah. :}
In the future I would love The Stories to be picked up and of course turned into a movie and a graphic novel. Word. Also, I want to turn a lot of my shorts into short films. I’m also currently networking to find an amazing illustrator for a secret project/passion of mine. It’ll happen.
I am a fan of all things fantastic and I am also a comic-book nerd and a lover of music. Killswitch Engage, Perception Of Intent, Times Of Grace, Forthangel, Across The Sun, The Ascendicate, August Burns Red, to name just a few. Michael McDonald is a pleasure and I don’t feel guilty about it, ;}. Scott Grimes is without a doubt a great vocalist as well. “Heavy” is on the top tier. It’s great. It helps with the writing.
I am constantly thinking of new ways to see things that are covered in dust and thrown out. Things and ideas long forgotten. Unloved. Lonely.
Pieces of nearly everyone’s heart and mind are intertwined together in art and music, and of course, the written word. Memories are shared. Experiences are told and retold, again and again. We all have something in common. I’d like to think I have been and will be a part of that universe. It’s where I live anyway. It’s home. I‘m like a mad scientist if he were sane and a writer, instead of a scientist. I write on my blog, Aspire No More. Links found in links section. I am influenced, no I am taken by my Creator, who in my belief is THE Author and Finisher. Also? Grimm Bros, Del Toro, fairy tales, twisted tales, dark and ominous scenery, Tolkien, metal music and making a statement with everything I say. The color red; the darker the better. Rodman Serling was, is, the Man.
I am a self-proclaimed nerd, activist, poet, antagonist-enemy to all that is hate-photographer, Transformer, philosopher, singer…and most importantly of all, I am a lover, not a fighter, but I will fight for those I love.
“You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth,
And called from its farthest regions,
And said to you, “You are My servant,
I have chosen you and have not cast you away”–Isaiah 41:9 NKJV-
thank you, Dan, my brother. Warrior.
You will rise within me, oh, Lord of lords. In fact You already have.
I will rise. I will rise. –The Sky Burns Red–Perception Of Intent
“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”–Mark 9:23 NLT
It’s going to get heavy.
I’m like a mad scientist if he were sane and a writer, instead of a scientist…and hey,
if this writing thing doesn’t pan out, I’ve always got my Parkour to fall back on.
